Ultra-high-pressure water jetting since 1995

Take the concrete off. Leave the steel intact.

One contractor from four litres a minute to 45,000 psi. Hydrodemolition, coating and corrosion stripping, line marking removal and shutdown cleaning, out of depots in Auckland, Wellington, Taranaki and Taupo.

Before it beats another contractor, it has to beat a jackhammer.

A breaker gang gets through a reinforced slab at a quarter of a cubic metre an hour per operator, and every blow it lands travels into the structure you are keeping. Water at 20,000 psi and above removes sound concrete faster, leaves the reinforcement clean and in place, and puts no vibration or micro-fracturing into the substrate that stays.

How the two methods compare
A concrete beam profiled by water with the aggregate and reinforcing exposed and the surrounding surface untouched
A beam profiled by water. The aggregate and reinforcing are exposed, the concrete either side of the cut is untouched, and nothing was struck to get there.

5.4x faster

Faster through a reinforced slab at a 100 mm cut, per operator. Both figures are indicative and confirmed on site.

Concrete removal rate: hand-held breaker versus ultra-high-pressure water
Hand-held breaker0.19 to 0.26 m3/hr
Ultra-high-pressure water0.93 to 1.49 m3/hr

One pressure range does not do every job.

The pressure is chosen for the thing being removed, not for the machine. Hover a job to see where it sits.

We've used Aquamax for 15 years on our annual shuts. I continue to be impressed with their project planning, health and safety management and the quality work delivered for us.

Plant

Nine pumping units from 4 litres a minute to 45,000 psi, with the robots, lances and vacuum recovery that go with them. Every published pressure and flow figure is on one page.
