Construction and concrete repair

Repair, profiling and preparation on structures that are staying. The reinforcing is usually the reason we are on site rather than a breaker gang.

A gloved hand against a wall where water jetting has exposed the reinforcing steel

A bond a saw cut cannot give you

Take the concrete, leave the steel.

Percussion fractures the concrete it leaves behind and bends the bar it hits. Water removes the damaged material and stops at sound concrete, leaving an irregular profile that the repair pour keys into and reinforcing that has been cleaned rather than bent.

  • Selective hydrodemolition to a depth, on slabs, decks, beams and columns.
  • Robotic removal where the area is large enough or the exposure long enough that a hand lance is the wrong tool.
  • Scabbling, aggregate exposure and joint preparation ahead of a bonded overlay.
  • Stencilling and etching where the finish is the deliverable.

What we are usually asked to remove here

Most of this work runs inside someone else's programme, so the date that matters is the pour, not the removal.
