Geothermal Plant Cleaning
Contact Energy's annual shuts need essential maintenance done on turbine blading and pipework fast. Every hour of downtime is opportunity cost.
Low-flow water jetting completed much of the work in-situ, without moving heavy rotors and gear outside the turbine house.
All deposits removed and contained with no damage to equipment. Contact Energy has used Aquamax for 15 years running.

Port of Napier Tug
NSB Protective Coatings needed the deck and pilot house of the Port of Napier's tug Ahuriri stripped to an SA 2.0 standard, with the vessel afloat and port operations uninterrupted.
A wet process stripped coatings and corrosion without garnet, containing dust and debris while the vessel stayed on the water.
All coatings and corrosion removed and contained. The vessel was never slipped and port operations were unaffected.

Beam Profiling, Wellington
Fletcher Construction needed structural concrete beams profiled in a high-rise Wellington office tower, fully occupied, during office hours.
A low flow rate electric pump, fitted with additional soundproofing, was installed permanently on site to work within noise and run-off limits.
Beams were profiled accurately to specification with no harm to the steelwork.
Road Overbridge, Kaikoura Coast
Concrete Solutions needed hydrodemolition on 32 repair sites across the underside of a bridge deck, beams and soffits, at a remote site north of Kaikoura.
A combined Auckland and Christchurch crew ran a high-pressure wash down followed by controlled hydrodemolition to a depth of up to 100mm, exposing rebar under the client's rail protection and safety oversight.
All loose concrete and rust scale were removed with no damage to steel, leaving a clean substrate ready for reinstatement.

Cessna 185, Drake Aviation
Drake Aviation needed the original factory primer stripped from a Cessna 185, a job Bruce Drake estimated at 80 hours by hand.
Low flow-rate water jetting stripped stubborn primer coats, with components blasted separately under Drake's direction.
The aircraft was stripped to bare metal and ready to prime in a fraction of the 80 hours manual stripping would take.

Fletcher Cresco, Wanganui Aeroworks
Wanganui Aeroworks needed filiform corrosion and ceramic undercarriage coatings removed from an Ag-aircraft to a tight schedule.
Operators worked extended weekend hours, waterjetting the coatings and paint back to bare surface.
The project was completed in full, on time and in specification, with no distortion to any surfaces and all rivets cleaned of edgeline coatings and oxides.
