Energy and geothermal
The plant is only available when it is off
Generation, geothermal, refining and gas. The date the unit comes back is set before anyone walks on site, and everything we do is measured against it.
Roading and infrastructure
The lane goes back at daylight
Markings, surface and structure on live carriageway. The work is done inside a traffic management plan, at night, and the closure is the constraint on everything else.
Construction and concrete repair
Take the concrete, leave the steel
Repair, profiling and preparation on structures that are staying. The reinforcing is usually the reason we are on site rather than a breaker gang.
Marine and ports
Between sailings, over water
Decks, wharves, ramps and vessel steel. The berth is worth more than the job, so the work is sized to the gap in the shipping schedule.
Aviation
Alloy that has to stay the shape it is
Runway, taxiway and airframe. Two different jobs with the same constraint: the surface underneath is the asset and it does not get touched.
Industrial and manufacturing
The factory next door keeps running
Coating removal, plant cleaning and floor preparation inside operating sites, where the work has to be contained rather than fenced off.
