Deposit does not come off on a schedule
The plant is only available when it is off.
Scale, product build-up and bore deposit are harder than the plant they sit on and softer than the tooling that would take them off. Water removes what is on the surface at a pressure chosen for the deposit rather than the substrate, so the tube, the blade and the vessel wall come back to bare metal without being thinned.
- Turbine and blade descaling inside the shut, working around the disassembly sequence rather than after it.
- Tube bundles, condensers and heat exchangers cleaned in place or on the lay-down area.
- Tanks and vessels stripped of product, with the recovery and the disposal path agreed before entry.
- Hydro excavation around live services, cable and buried pipework where a mechanical dig is a permit refusal.
